A veteran of the finance industry, Paul has more than 30 years
experience, specialising in international insurance and
reinsurance, he has worked in Hong Kong, Australia and the
UK.
Settling in New Zealand in 1996, Paul founded Equico; a niche
financial services company that managed leasing and insurance of IT
equipment to schools and businesses hungry for new
technology.
Paul established Equico's relationship with the New Zealand
Ministry of Education and continued to play an instrumental role in
growing this relationship that has helped lead to Equico becoming
New Zealand's largest laptop financier.
Phil joined Equico in September 2010 to head up the sales and
marketing arm of the business. Previous roles include seven
years' with MARAC Finance, where he was responsible for building up
a key vendor base and helping clients to finance technology,
agriculture and commercial plant and equipment purchases.
In November 2011 we saw Phil step into the role of General Manager
at Equico. Phil oversees Equico's revenue streams, managing the
sales team and ensuring that the company is in line with market
demands and technology developments.
Phil sees Equico as a holistic business operation, offering a total solution to finance needs, caring for the customer throughout the duration of the lease as well as proactively managing the end of lease options.

In 2004 Chris was brought on board to expand our services within
the Corporate, Commercial and Government markets. Arriving at
Equico with over 15 years Banking & Finance experience, the
last 13 in sales of Asset Based finance. Chris has worked to
develop our commercial product range, managing direct relationships
with our clients across the country.
Chris has been instrumental in shaping our corporate and tertiary
client base over the years. With his extensive industry knowledge,
Chris is a great asset to the company.
Gary was appointed to Equico in 2006, bringing in excess of 25
years banking and finance expertise to the company. Gary manages
Equico's business growth, introducing and implementing applicable
corporate processes and procedures.
Equico's focus on customer service is central to Gary's role. His
extensive knowledge of the finance and banking industry provides
him with the expertise to guide Equico into markets of the
future.
Romaiye joined the Equico team in 2004 focusing on Sales
Support. With a thorough understanding of the financial services
and IT industry, Romaiye has a great knowledge of how to provide a
comprehensive finance solution that will assist your
organisation.
Over the years, Romaiye has worked tirelessly to deliver flexible
solutions to support Schools in achieving their vision."Spreading
the cost of ICT solutions has meant that schools are able to keep
up with technology rather than compromising because of cost".
Eddy joined Equico in October 2012, bringing with him many years
experience in the Banking & Finance industry. Eddy works
closely with clients across the commercial and education sectors,
in turn offering his extensive industry knowledge and excellent
customer service.
Joining Equico from within the financial services industry has
enabled Eddy to fully and clearly convey Equico's benefits and
point of difference from day one. His knowledge and
understanding has been instrumental in assisting our partners in
securing sales and developing an understanding with clients and
partners of the advantages leasing offers.
Jan joined Equico in September 2011 as Business Development Manager looking after schools in the South Island. Jan brings with her a wealth of sales expertise and extensive experience in both IT and education.
Experience includes, a General Manager at Insite, a specialist in the assembly and distribution of built-to-order computers and more recently Southern Regional Manager at Connect NZ, a technology solutions provider.
